Have a number of publications and papers on law enforcement related topics, information systems, and environmental law enforcement. Have been active in the Academy of Criminal Justice Services, served on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the Florida Police Chiefs Association, and President of the Volusia County Police Chiefs Association. Served a Chair of the Law Enforcement Information Management Section.
